"Perfect revival in Vietnam." Director Kim Sang-sik said, "I miss Jeonbuk fans' shout of 'Get Out' once in a while."

Coach Kim Sang-sik, who succeeded in rebounding from the Vietnamese national soccer team, recalled his days as the head coach of Jeonbuk Hyundai.

Coach Kim Sang-sik attended a video press conference to win the 2024 AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup at 3 p.m. on Tuesday. Vietnam under coach Kim Sang-sik won the title at the 2024 ASEAN Football Confederation (AFF) Championship. He was powerful enough to win the championship with seven wins and one draw.
One to two years ago, Kim Sang-sik was going through a tough time. He took the helm of Jeonbuk in 2021. His performance was not bad. In the 2021 season, he won the K League 1 trophy and the Coach of the Year award. In the following year, he won the FA Cup (currently the Korea Cup).

The 2023 season has begun to show sluggish performance. Fans in Jeonbuk who were not satisfied with his performance got angry and demanded Kim Sang-sik's voluntary resignation. Eventually, Kim voluntarily resigned during the 2023 season.

After a break, coach Kim Sang-sik was appointed to the Vietnamese national soccer team in May. He achieved the feat of leading Vietnam to the championship in eight months. It is the first time in more than six years that Vietnam won the Mitsubishi Electric Cup since he was coach Park Hang-seo in December 2018.

When asked if he recalled his days as Jeonbuk manager after winning the championship, Kim said, "I remembered a lot. I think I showed my Korean fans and Jeonbuk fans that I am still alive through this championship. There is also affection and hatred for people. I miss the shouting of Jeonbuk fans to get out."

Coach Kim Sang-sik succeeded in restoring the honor by winning the Mitsubishi Cup. "In a way, I won the title, but I was right to be called a fool. Jeonbuk should always win the title. I received negative criticism even though I won many titles as a player, coach, and coach at Jeonbuk. I think he still showed that he is alive." 먹튀검증

When asked if he had any confidence that he would make a leap forward in Vietnam after hitting the bottom in his Jeonbuk career, he said, "It's not the bottom. I have no confidence. I think we have to keep trying. It's a job. My family has to make a living."

Coach Kim Sang-sik also performed a "dance ceremony" on the ground right after winning the championship. A similar image was spotted in Jeonbuk before. "I have to be a coach with a lot of weight, a tiger teacher..."I always have that image. Vietnamese people and players like it more. I danced once because the players asked me to," he said. "Dancing is the world's No. 1 coach."

Coach Kim Sang-sik is looking forward to a bigger stage with Vietnam. He said, "This is the beginning. Vietnamese soccer needs to improve. As a coach of the national team, I need to perform well. Then I will have more things to achieve. It is my dream to play with Vietnam in the World Cup finals together."
